Grif Energy developed the De Hoge Vaart solar park in Zeewolde on behalf of Vattenfall. The park has a capacity of 22.2 MWp with approximately 38,300 solar panels. The solar park provides sustainable energy to approximately 9,250 households and supports the regional energy transition.
Features and Impact
The solar park covers 21 hectares, including 15 hectares of solar panels and 6 hectares dedicated to nature development. Three test fields are located on the southern side, where students from Aeres University of Applied Sciences conduct research. Landscape integration with alder hedges and species-rich grassland enhances biodiversity and complements the surrounding natural environment. The park provides sustainable energy to approximately 9,250 households.
The integration of ecological test fields promotes knowledge development around nature-friendly solar energy. The project demonstrates that large-scale energy generation can be successfully combined with landscape and ecological values.
